chicagocmmcalibration.com is built to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and accessibility is treated as part of the quality of the site and not an addition to it.

What that comes to in practice: text that meets contrast requirements, headings in a logical order, form fields with visible labels and clear error messages, images with text alternatives, and pages that can be operated with a keyboard alone. Whenever pages change, conformance is reviewed again.

Not all content reaches the target. Documents supplied by third parties — certificates and scope documents issued as PDFs among them — may not be tagged for screen readers, and text alternatives may be missing from older uploaded files.

Anything here that cannot be used can be reported through the contact page, which lists the contact details for the desk that handles reports. Acknowledgement is within three (3) business days.

While the page behind the problem is being corrected, the information requested is supplied another way: plain email, large print, or read over the telephone. The barrier itself does not hold up a request.
